Here to Timbuktu – 25 Days of Christmas Shopping in Lancaster County

One of my favorite places to shop for Christmas gifts, or any gifts for that matter, is Here to Timbuktu. It’s one of those great Downtown shops that has a little bit of everything. When you stop in, be sure to say hello to Moirajeanne who opened this unique shop in Downtown Lancaster in 1988.
When I go, I generally head to the back of the store and work my way forward. In the back, Here to Timbuktu has men’s & women’s clothing, purses and bags, shoes, scarves, hats, and my absolute favorite for the winter season – warm socks! As I move forward, I usually look at the selection of watches (including Hamilton, Swatch, & Android to name a few) for my husband.
At the front of the store, there’s a large section of American handmade, one of a kind antique ethnic jewelry, and right now, they’re featuring some beautiful glass ornaments as well. My husband Nathan & I finally have a living room we can fit a Christmas tree in, so I found some beautiful ornaments for our tree.
My absolute favorite part of the store is the toy section – featuring classic toys and Schyilling’s tin windups! I love vintage toys, and this is the one shop I know I can go get some (or send someone to get me one for a present) for a fair price!
