The American Quilter’s Society is returning to Lancaster County for it’s 2nd Annual AQS Quilt Show & Contest at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Downtown Lancaster, March 16-19. During the conference, the “Authentic B&B’s of Lancaster County” will once again host a free Reception for all the quilt show attendees! It will be held on Thursday, March 17, from 4-7pm at the Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum, which is about a block away from the Convention Center. There will be food, music, demonstrations, and other activities.
Novelist Kelly Long will be doing a book signing at the party! She is the author of the bestselling “Patch of Heaven“ series… set in an Amish community, with each novel inspired by an Amish quilt pattern! The author actually grew up in the area of an Amish community, and now lives less than an hour from Lancaster. We can’t think of a more perfect addition to the evening!
So if you’re a quilter, would like to become a quilter, or are just fascinated by this traditional, beautiful, and practical art form, we hope that you’ll attend the Lancaster AQS Show, and our Authentic B&B Quilters Reception!
And when you’re making your plans, of course be sure to check out the many delightful inns that make up “Authentic Bed & Breakfasts of Lancaster County”. Click here for all the details. With 40 inns to choose from, we’re certain you’ll find one that will make your quilting trip a most memorable experience!
