If you’re looking for a show that will make you laugh – you’re sure to find it with Pool’s Paradise at the Rainbow Dinner Theatre! My friend Kristen & I went to see it, and of course the food before the show was fabulous – revved me up for Thanksgiving. We had turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, green beans and baked corn. Delicious! Then we settled down for the show. We had two ladies at our table who buy season tickets each year, and then choose which day they’ll go to shows at the beginning of each year so that they have it on their calendars already! They were so fun.

The show is about an American actress, Penelope, who married the love of her life, a conservative minister of a tiny English Village. It’s around Christmastime, and there is barely any money in the church fund, so Penelope ‘s maid and dear friend convinces her to enter in a local soccer pool to possibly win some money to donate to the church.

To make things sticky, there’s the local spinster who is madly in love with Penelope’s husband, the minister, and she tries to spend time with him whenever she can. After Penelope enters the pool, she remembers how much her husband doesn’t approve of gambling.

This show had us laughing, the girl playing Penelope was too funny, it’s exciting to see what’s going to happen with a lost soccer pool ticket (the winning one) and a mix up with a losing pool ticket! This is one show you don’t want to miss. Check out some of the testimonials about Rainbow Dinner Theatre below!
