Annie Bailey’s Irish Pub

Annie Bailey's Irish Pub The weather in Lancaster County this week has been absolutely gorgeous. After being bundled up in a snow suit with two feet of snow out my front door just two months ago, I never imagined I’d be wearing a sun dress any time soon. I can’t help but smile when I think about how much happier people are when it’s so nice out. Seriously, have you noticed? I feel like a weight has been lifted off of everyone’s shoulders and we can come out from hibernation. ;) Anyway, I’m really not here to talk about the weather, though it is certainly inspiring.

Today a few friends and I decided to catch up, and what a better way to do so then by lounging in the sun out on the deck at Annie Baileys?! Of course I had to make sure my seat was in the sun so I could get some color before heading into the office. So picture this scene, a few friends catching up on life. Sun shining. Sun dresses on. Annie Bailey’s deck. Perfect.

After chatting awhile over glass after glass of water trying to stay hydrated, we finally ordered. If you have never eaten at Annie Baileys you are really missing out. The food is to die for! I think one quality in a good restaurant is to offer options that you can’t find anywhere else. Enter Annie Bailey’s. They’re menu is so unique. They take not so ordinary ingredients and put together absolutely mouth watering dishes. I got the Cracked Pepper Turkey & Aged Gouda Panini. I don’t think I could have been more satisfied with this selection. My friends chose the Blackened Hickory Chicken Sandwich and the Seared Tuna Salad. I’m pretty sure they enjoyed their meals as well given that once the food came out the conversation ended.

Another thing I really appreciated was that we were not rushed to finish and pay the check. After we finished eating, we continued to chat and hydrate on more water. The wait staff continued to fill our glasses. We felt so welcomed to be there.

And there you have it… the components for the perfect afternoon. I could have sat there for hours. :)
