2010New Year’s is all about change, resolutions, and celebrating. Are you making a New Year’s resolution this year? What will it be? I generally don’t come up with¬† resolutions, persay – but throughout the year, I’m always trying to work on some things, so here are my three resolutions:

1. Spend more time with family & friends
2. Enjoy life more
3. Get organized

So. Number 2 – enjoy life more – What will you be doing on New Year’s Eve? Some great events to check out in Lancaster:

1. Countdown Lancaster 2010 – Family oriented entertainment featuring over 100 performers. More than 25 warm, indoor sites host performers that entertain throughout the night. Fireworks this year! All events within easy walking distance. Shuttle service provided. http://lancasterrec.org

2. Dancin’ & Romancin’ – Usher in the New Year with the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra and two of Broadway’s most entertaining singer/dancers, Joan Hess & Kirby Ward. They’ll have you Singing in the Rain and dancing the aisles to Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and other Broadway favorites. Noisemakers and champagne will also be a part of the fun! http://www.lancastersymphony.org

3. New Year’s Eve Gala – Ring out the old and bring in the new with Miss Daisy Grubb at Mt. Hope Mansion. Dine and dance the night away in an atmosphere steeped in the allure of days gone by. As the midnight hour approaches, complimentary champagne and party favors ensure that the New Year is greeted with a rousing cheer of hip, hip huzzah from all! http://www.parenfaire.com

One of my New Year’s resolutions is the same as one of yours: enjoy life more.

For me, this includes more travel. My husband and I try to make a trip up to PA Dutch Country at least once a year. We love the people, the scenery and, most of all, the food! We can’t wait to return to Shady Maples for another Dutch feast.
